Why do Muslims demand minority rights globally while Islamic nations deny equal rights to minorities?
Answer
Islamic nations have constitution based upon Islamic shariah whereas most places where Muslims demand rights are secular and democratic countries.
So the hypocrisy is when a secular country like France chooses to ban hijab. Islamic countries never claimed to be governed by secular laws.
So this question should be rephrased and the right question would be why do some countries put restriction on freedom of religion when they claim to be secular.
Lastly the questions tone portrays as if the minorities don’t belong to these countries, OR that the minorities are outsiders. We should remember that man created the geographical boundaries which we refer to as countries and no one whether it is a religious or ethnic group has ownership of any country.
Anyone who has been born and brought up in a secular and democratic country is equal and deserves equal right as compared to other citizens irrespective of whether he is majority or minority.
